Glad Someone is Reading!!

Hehe, I really figured that absolutely no one would have even noticed that I had started posting again!! Thank you Erica, my one and only reader ;-)

I'm sitting at work listening to the ever mundane safety meeting which in no way pertains to me and my job.  It's all about the guys outside who are actually doing heavy physical work with large machinery that could actually kill or dismember them, so of course it's important that we have these meetings but really.... do I need to know how to sweep out a bin?  No, I think not, there is no way that I will ever be inside one of those stinky filthy grain bins, eyck!

Umm, anyway, that was a boring paragraph, I apologize, Erica (my lonely reader), for boring you.

It's pouring rain here (I know, I know, way to make the blog more interesting... talk about the weather!!) there's some areas where they've had almost 5 inches of rain since yesterday!  It's pretty incredible for this part of the country.  However, I'm very greatful that this is the worst of it for us, we could be in Manitoba or Saskatchewan where people are loosing their homes and hundreds of thousand of acres of farmland are under water.  I used to lament the fact that I lived somewhere that nothing ever happen!  But the city has grown and now we actually have events worth attending and activities that the kids will enjoy as they grow up and, luckily, we have basically no natural disasters around here.  Life is pretty simple here, but also very safe!

I promise next time I'll have something more interesting to write about... is there an award for "Most Boring Post Ever"?  Because if there was I'd have nailed it with this one!!

Oh dear...

Well, do I ever feel sheepish...

It's been 7 months since my last post?!  I suppose the only excuse I have is that I'm unorganized and not very good at following through on projects that I start.  I'm not saying that I'll be trying to post everyday again but I do have more time on my hands now that I've started a new job, so maybe I'll be more inclined to start blogging again.

That's right, a new job!!  I left the lawyer's office and am now working at Louis Dreyfus, the grain elevator.  A good friend of mine was offered a promotion but was told that she could only have it if she found herself a replacement and she thought of me.  I was happy to leave the lawyer's office because of the dismal pay and complete lack of medical coverage/benefits.  So thank you, Rachel, for helping me to find a job that will better fit the needs of myself and my family.

As for the family... things are GREAT!!  Liam is starting school in the fall and Rowan is turning more and more into a little boy (as opposed to a baby boy) everyday.  Neil's business is going very well, he'll be busy into the early winter with the jobs he has lined up now.

Hmmmmmmm, what else to say???  Boy, at this rate my blog is going to be VERY boring!  Oh well, I guess if no one is reading it then there won't be anyone to know if I've posted or not!
